We created this 360 VR interactive film for Vauxhall to promote the new Mk7 Astra, while also enabling Racing driver Rob Wilson to teach drivers how to drive like an F1 pro! The interactive film featured on the Vauxhall Astra Microsite.
The video was shot from a range of positions including exterior intro, head mounted driver's point of view, peddle cam and drone birds eye view. The microsite allows potential customers to gather additional information on the vehicle before ultimately booking a test drive.
Prior to any media spend the 360 interactive driving lesson received almost 5,000 views since it went live at the end of October.
Racing driver Rob Wilson has trained half of today's F1 grid including Valtteri Bottas, Kimi Raikkonen and Nico Hulkenberg, in a standard Brit-built Vauxhall Astra. As improbable as it seems Rob’s Astra – along with a GTC and Insignia Sports Tourer – are perfect for his training sessions.
