UK’s first AR experience for Skoda

Happy Finish works with Enigma and JC Decaux to create a media first for Skoda. We put the consumer right inside the new Fabia in a over sized AR experience that ran on the largest digital out of home screen in Europe. Happy Finish were brought on board as a CGI and Technology SWAT team to create this Augmented Reality experience.

Commuters travelling through Waterloo Station, London found a stylish experiential space surrounded by iPad’s allowing them to design their own Fabia from 90 different variations. That data was stored and users could then take their seat in front of a Skoda green screen to take control of the linear Skoda commercial and actually see themselves as the hero, Live on-screen and experience their design grow around them right before their eyes.

By combining our world class CGI artists with our technical wizards we created a system that captured a high quality chroma key of the user visible on the large screen. We then built their car around them piece by piece. Seamlessly, spatial reality and CGI become one.

 

 

 

What's more they were able to see their name up in lights alongside their configured Skoda Fabia Hathc 2015. Once the user's experience was complete a picture of the car with them inside was sent via social media for all to share and share again.

We loved working with the forward thinking DOOH agency, Enigma and the very skilled creative and technology teams from JC Decaux to create this world first that went down a treat with commuters and press.
