Our team shook things up for Mixxtail, the cocktail-flavoured beverage brand from Budweiser group, which was recently launched in mainland China. The brief was to present Kris Wu, a rising actor and musician in China, ‘flaring’ as if making these fancy drinks in an artistic environment of infinite floating cocktails.
The project utilised a combination of retouch and CG elements in a series of three images depicting the variety of Mixxtail flavours. The bottles and glasses in each scene were created in CG and combined with the studio shot celebrity in retouch. After the layouts were arranged, retouch added further variation to the scene with a sense of depth and drama. The result was a refreshing mix of colourful action and smoothed visuals.
