One of our latest projects to hit the high street this summer is the new in-store display for Sunglass Hut. To promote the new range of polarized sunglasses we helped create a city scene that demonstrated the difference between the 2 types of lenses.
We were approached by the fantastic team at IDL WorldWide to create the city scene in CGI. I used some stock models to create the city composition, working out which building fitted best together. This was then re-modeled to create the final street scene, said Chris Davis, CGI artist on the project.
To create realistic replications of the people and the dog in the scene we then went to our great friends at Inition Uk to 3D scan the models and the dog for the scene.
The 3D images were then refined with a colour treatment by retoucher, Vahakn Voperian, enhancing the difference between the polarized and non-polarized visions.
