Creating a print version of Acura's new concept car, the NSX for agency Rubin Postaer & Associates certainly got the car enthusiast s within Happy Finish's team, mouths salivating. Created to coincide with the first unveiling of the NSX Accra concept car at Detroit s 2012 car show last month, this new beast of a car from the Japanese brand is causing a stir within the automotive industry and to car lovers worldwide.

The two lucky artists on the project, retoucher Christopher Peabody and 3D Artist Simon Nankivell explain a little about the project below. The client supplied CAD data for us to model from but we had to make sure we could match their specific lighting requirements as the metallic paint on the vehicle changed from a light to dark silver dependent on the lighting conditions, noted Simon. "This was achieved by a combination of CGI lighting and colour treatment in the retouching stages" adds Christopher, "with this we were able to maintain the classic hard look the Honda Acura has been renowned for." he goes on to further explain.

However if you are looking to add one to your collection it might be a little while yet as the final car will not be hitting the streets for another few years!
