Our automotive team are always looking to create beautiful & realistic images and use spare moments to collaborate on a series of personal automotive projects.
We are delighted to introduce the first of this series, with the creation of the classic Porsche 911. 3D artist Chris Davis worked together with retoucher Terry Obiora to produce this monochrome vision of the iconic Porsche.
We focused on creating an realistic image, at the end of the day this is what we are generally looking to produce for our automotive clients, says Chris. By using a HDRI backplate from Moofe we were able to embed authentic reflections and lighting into the model of the car so it sat naturally in the environment. He goes on to explain.
sing a HDRI really helps to create a genuine finished look to the image. In retouching I looked enhance the key features of the car, while also finessing the background and removing unwanted items so that all the focus was on the Porsche, adds Terry.
