Further expansion within our Interactive Department continues this month with the arrival of Julian Anderson, who joins the team as Interactive Producer.
Since achieving a 1st Class Honours at Brunel University, Julian joined Somo, the fastest growing mobile agency in Europe, in 2011 to help deliver award-winning solutions for the connected world, with a client roster that includes the likes of Audi, BP, NY Times and Adidas.
Julian spent 4 years at Somo, progressing from an intern to Senior Project Manager, and delivering a broad range of digital solutions for global clients including Summly, Vertu and Audi. He worked exclusively on the Audi account for 2 years, delivering everything from HTML5 Rich Media ads, to iOS and Android applications, to industry leading Experential Events.
Highlights included delivering the Audi A3 iPad application that was built in Unity, and was the first use of AR in the automotive industry in the UK. The application won 3 awards including MOMA and Mobile Entertainment's Best Use of AR.
Julian also delivered a suite of products for the Audi e-tron Experience, a one month pop-up store located in Westfield, to promote the launch of the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron. Products included 3D augmented reality iPad applications, an Oculus Rift virtual reality experience, a 3 3 media wall, a model configurator iPad application and a staff assistance iPad application along with roll out of Samsung Gear VR to all Audi UK Centres to support the launch of the new TT.
Outside of work Julian is a keen runner and has recently stepped it up a notch in entering the ballot for the London marathon in 2016 with the aim of doing it by the time he reaches 30. In addition to this he has also recently started modelling after being scouted by YSL, and is currently signed by First Model Management.
When presented with the opportunity to join Happy Finish as a Senior Interactive Producer, it was a career step Julian couldn t refuse:
"The continued rise of AR and the potential for VR to really take off over the next couple of years, makes joining the interactive team an incredibly exciting prospect. I look forward to bringing my experience and collaborating with a passionate team to produce solutions that are right at the cusp of what can be achieved with these innovative technologies. With more companies, including the likes of Sony, HTC, and rumour has it, Apple, investing in VR, the next year is going to be a game changer watch this space!"
