An Original 360 video horror by Happy Finish
Happy Finish have teamed up with Director Ryan Hopkinson, represented by White Lodge and sound engineers Father to create a 360 degree horror video for Oculus Rift and Android devices (to be used in Google Cardboard).
Footage was shot in an abandoned bomb shelter in East London with our own 14 GoPro camera rig (7 cameras for each eye allows us to offer a full stereoscopic 360 experience). The footage is captured in one take and augmented with a little VFX magic from our Motion department. The experience offers VR users the chilling point of view of being trapped in an eerie subterranean world with some haunting added extras. We’ve also utilised Spacial Audio to position sounds in absolute 3D space, so when a whisper comes from behind you in the VR world, when you turn to investigate it stays in the correct place.
Above is an example of the reaction to Follow The Light from users at our launch screening on Halloween. We’re really excited to be pioneering this new medium and we’ve got plenty more 360 content in the pipeline.
