We were happy to be working once more with Portland photographer Adam Levey on this last minute retouching project for the cover of Fortune Magazine. The project focused on the notion of the automotive industry approaching a crossroads between its current state and the impending driverless future of automated electric cars. Adam incorporated this concept as he shot the 2016 BMW i8, the latest hybrid vehicle from the 100-year-old automotive company.

With Happy Finish’s Chris Peabody retouching the featured images, the entire project, from shoot to finish, was completed and delivered in under a week. Chris aimed to properly capture the balance of speed and efficiency in the i8, saying, “I love retouching cars. As objects they can either be a quiet, still life in a studio or a motion full of energy and life rushing down a road.”
