This month Harrods Magazine took readers on an eccentric fashion journey through the vision of photographer Diego Merino and fashion editor Victoria Gaiger. Happy Finish artist Rob Dewey took on the brief to refine the mysterious black and white scenes through the magic of retouch.

Inspired by the iconic works of English cartoonist Heath Robinson, the editorial, “A Twist In The Tale” blends contemporary summer fashion with fanciful elements of a whimsical era. The piece features high end apparel from a polished selection of brands including Alexander McQueen, Prada, Burberry, and of course, Harrods of London. To add to the mystic atmosphere of the featured scene, Rob took on the challenge of enlarging a bouquet of balloons more than four times its original size by cloning the original bouquet and recreating highlight and shadow effects through retouch.

The result was a seamless, iconic feel throughout this unique editorial. For more of Rob’s remarkable fashion retouch work, check out his diverse portfolio here.
