Stuart is CEO at Happy Finish. Founding the company in 2004 with two digital retouchers, Stuart has grown the company from a start-up to the mature and dynamic business of today, having been an integral part of the business operations during its growth, playing key roles including business development, finance & accounting, HR, producer and account handler. Stuart is a known figurehead in today’s creative industry, and is responsible for the strategic direction of Happy Finish. In 2007, Stuart founded the hugely successful company Printspace Studios, where he remains a major shareholder and CEO. Printspace Studios is a fine art & photo printing company, predominantly providing these services online. As CEO, Stuart is responsible for all aspects of management, including strategy, software functionality design, software user interface structural design, marketing management. Latterly Printspace Studios has moved into the internet platform sector by creating software to enable its clients to sell prints of their images online via their websites & social media, with all print fulfilment handled by Printspace. Prior to this, Stuart held roles at Golden Shot Photos, West LB Bond Trading, UBS, RBS and HSBC Stockbrokers.

 I have always been interested in Virtual Reality. I played my first computer game by typing it out, line by line, in the BASIC coding language into a Spectrum ZX81[1]. Virtual Reality made a brief appearance in amusement arcades in the late 1980s and then disappeared again due to latency, reliability and expense. Since then I could hardly wait for the full immersive experience and it has been a long time coming.

So fast forward to 2012 and I find myself running a company called Happy Finish where we produce a lot of imagery and computer generated animations for global brand advertising, and finally the Oculus Rift appears on kickstarter, and Virtual Reality is about to emerge from its long hibernation in university research departments and back into the commercial arena.
